The Backpack Program is held each year the first Tuesday of August in conjunction with Neighborhood Night Out in the Tres Colonias. This program helps provide children of all backgrounds - working class and low-income families - with a new backpack and supplies to start the new school year.
Since its inception, hundreds of children and families have been helped by our Backpack Program. In addition, holding this event in conjunction with Neighborhood Night Out helps to foster neighborhood connections and offers an opportunity for families to get to know one another.
How to Donate: We take donations all year round so we don't have to start over each year.

Posadas is an important Hispanic Christmas tradition. The word posada means "inn" or "shelter" in Spanish. In this tradition, the Bible story of Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem and their search for a place to stay is re-enacted. This event takes place in December, date and time will be posted.
Our Posada is also a gift giving event designed to help provide families with gifts not only for the children, but the entire family including teens, moms and dads.
How can you help?
