When I retired out to the Museo de las Tres Colonias, I had many women come to me and tell me my work was not done yet. They felt I had helped so many people in the community and that I should continue with this important work. As I thought about it over the next couple of months, my vision was clear; we needed an organization of Women of Colors. Our organization would be inclusive of all backgrounds and made up of woman of diversity in the community to help build a safe and welcoming place where all people of all colors feel part of this community. We look to collaborate with other organizations in the community; we believe together we are stronger. Our service work we are committed to help our most vulnerable, the working poor and the low income. Our organization will give woman a platform to address issues that affect them, and through leadership and education we can help elevate the status of women of all ages.
