The Backpack Program
The Backpack Program is an annual event held on the first Tuesday of August in the Tres Colonias, in coordination with Neighborhood Night Out. It aims to provide new backpacks and school supplies to children from varying backgrounds, including working-class and low-income families, to help them start the new school year.
Here's what you need to know:
- Our Backpack Program has assisted hundreds of children and families since its establishment.
- Hosting the event alongside Neighborhood Night Out encourages neighborhood connections and fosters community unity.
- Donations are accepted throughout the year to avoid starting from scratch each year.
- Transparency and trust are core values that guide our work. We assure you that your donation will be used to support the specified cause, with a small portion potentially redirected to our general fund to maintain the sustainability of our mission and uphold your trust in us.
Ready to make a difference? Donate now and help give children the tools they need for a successful school year.
- We accept checks made to Mujeres de Colores, specifically for the Backpack Program. Mail them to 3375 Woodlands Way, Wellington, CO 80549.
- Donations can be made through our website OR by purchasing items directly from our Backpacks Amazon Wishlist at: https://a.co/5pUsEmc
- For tax donation forms, retain your receipt and attach it to your donation, including your full name, address, and phone number.
If you have any questions or require further information, please don't hesitate to reach out at 970-412-4536. Your support, whether from the business community or the broader community, is greatly appreciated. Together, we can positively impact these children's lives and set them up for success.
